If you are struggling with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship problems, bereavement, or any other issue that affects you on a daily basis, I am here to help you work through these difficult feelings and reach a better place. You don’t have to work through these issues on your own. My practice gives you a safe, confidential space to explore what’s bothering you and understand how events and patterns from your past influence how you think, feel, and behave in the present moment, enabling you to move forward with greater clarity and wisdom.
Get in touch with me over the phone or email to arrange your first session of counselling and psychotherapy in Leyton, Walthamstow, and online.
Depression affects many people, and I know it can often feel like things will never get better. When we push our feelings down over time, it becomes stored in our body, preventing us from feeling truly present and causing negative thought patterns to become the norm. Together, we will engage with these feelings and, by working collaboratively, bring them out into the open, thereby understanding the role they play in your life and ultimately enabling you to develop a more compassionate view of yourself, other people, and the wider world.
I can work with all kinds of anxiety, such as generalised anxiety disorder, social anxiety, phobias, panic attacks, or obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Like depression, anxiety is a sign of trauma we hold in the body, so our work will be about understanding what lies behind your anxiety and what its triggers are. I know that working through these feelings isn’t easy, but I am here to support you every step of the way, creating a friendly, warm environment that puts you at ease and gives you the space to speak freely.
Low self-esteem is a problem that affects so many people – even those who have successful careers and fulfilling relationships. We tend to base our value around our achievements, or our relationships with other people, rather than focusing on our own intrinsic worth. Living in this way means we never feel like we are good enough. This worldview is obviously harmful, and takes its root in past experiences. Our work together will be about understanding where this low self-esteem actually comes from, giving you the tools to feel more empowered and in touch with your own innate value as a human being.
I work with couples to overcome a range of issues, specialising in providing personalised support for parents who have lost a child. This is a unique form of bereavement, and I am here to help you work through it. Losing a child, either during pregnancy or after, means losing a future you expected to have, and adjusting to this fact on your own is extremely hard. I am here to give both parents a chance to explore their feelings and receive the dedicated support they need at this challenging time.
